Well, last night was the Cosmo Blog Awards and it was an amazing night! I was so excited to go and see all the other fab bloggers and Cosmo ladies, sip cocktails and be introduced to some great new blogs to read!
The venue was the very swanky Rose Club, those guys at Cosmo sure know how to throw a party, with drinks flowing and beats pumping all night from the wonderful DJIQ it was my kind of event!
The awards were presented by Cosmo UK Editor Louise Court and Web Editor Pat Mcnulty (both looking very glam) and the winners were given a beautiful illustration to hang in celebratory fashion on their walls!
Here is the full list of all the big winners on the night
Here are my pics from the night....
Me and the very lovely Justine from Fashion MixBag
As you can see a good time was had by all.
This was the 3rd Blog Awards that Cosmopolitan have held and it is becoming a real trail blazer for finding new blogging talent. It is great that bloggers are be giving the credits that they deserve in the industry, as "blogger power" is growing and growing, and last night to feel a little bit part of that was really special.
For me, I started this blog to express my passion for something I love and enjoy doing everyday, I have been so grateful that people have liked what I am about and have given me such lovely feedback. So to even be shortlisted was so special and very exciting and I want to say a HUGE thank you to every person that voted for me, it means so much.
I did not win my category unfortunately, it was won by lulutrixabelle, who is fab and will have great things ahead of her, but I in my best Oscar Actress voice "it was genuinely just wonderful to be nominated!"
As well as all the cocktails and nibbles at the do there was a great glam squad, painting nails, applying flash eyelashes and retouching make up, so you never had an excuse not to look fabulous!
It really was a great night and It was fab to see so many people in the flesh who you read day to day. You have to do double takes when you see them!
I spent most of the night with the lovely Justine from Fashion Mixbag. If you have not checked out her blog you must do! Here is her link http://fashionmixbag.blogspot.co.uk/
That is what was so lovely about the night, the cross section of people who were there, and the individual styles on parade!
I will be posting in the next couple of days more pictures of my outfit and I can go through my costume dramas that lead me to my final decision!
So I will go for now and head to bed, still reeling from a top night! Thank you Next and Cosmo, I loved it!
Hope you all have lovely weekends planned!
