It is a really strange time of year, one day it is snowing, next day it's looking like spring. So, how I have been trying to combat this transitional weather is by putting together outfits that will work now but will be equally as handy in the warmer months. (makes good fashion money sense girls!)
This New Look skirt has been great to team up with ankle boots and tights to work, it is really comfy and cos its black and white, goes with loads of colours in the wardrobe. I have teamed it with a H&M denim shirt and Topshop neck scarf. I like wearing two prints together it brings more texture to the whole look.
However, this skirt will be a hero in the summer months and will look fab with flip flops and casual t shirts and vests for a more beachy/ picnic feel.
Those are the best types of clothes, the ones that can cross over seasons, which is why it is important to keep your eye out for them in the shops. If you see a particular piece that you think it's too early in the year to wear, chances are with the right layers/ shoes you could be it wearing now!
Of course, a midi or a pencil skirt will also flatter most shapes, for me it's showing of those hips !
