Well, another season has come and gone and the final show at Paris last night wrapped up the Fall 2012 Fashion Weeks. It has been an fantastic month, with some stunning collections and stand out moments that will live long in the fashion memory.
One of the big events being the return of Stella Mccartney to London Fashion week, which was a huge success and gets the award for biggest build up to a show! However Sarah Burton's designers for Alexander Mcqueen were highly anticipated and did not disappoint with the most breathtaking dresses and structure. ( Which I will discuss below)
What I love doing to going through all the collections and picking out the ones that struck me the most, and mostly the collections that can inspire me to start to think about my AW12 wardrobe and what colours, fabrics and styles I will be leaning towards. And although my budget will not stretch to the likes of Prada and Dior just yet, you can pick out trends you like and then keep an eye out for when they hit the high street. - Don't worry as soon as they are out I will have them covered!
So below is the pick of my favourite shows from each Fashion week.....
This was such an elegant collection bringing in a beautiful Chinese influence that was completely ladylike and classy.
This collection was fantastic, the colours and shapes were so vivid, and there will be lots of high street versions to come! Mary has shown herself as the master of print.
I love the Italian flare that always comes from Gucci, it is over the top and dramatic, but that can only be a good thing!
Sarah Burton has in the past year joined the fashion elite and this collection only highlighted the case that she is only one the greatest designers to come out of England in years, a stunning display.
I hope you like my picks and I would love to know what your favourites were! And after seeing these, we know that it is going to be a fabulous Autumn/ Winter for us fashionistas!
